Care Home Manager

As Care Home Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind creating a warm, supportive environment for residents and staff alike. You’ll lead by example, inspiring your team to deliver person-cantered care that enhances the quality of life for each resident.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of the care home, ensuring high standards of care and service
• Manage and develop staff, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations
• Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and other relevant standards
• Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual residents’ needs
• Manage budgets and financial resources effectively
• Maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
• Lead quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
• Handle complaints and concerns promptly and professionally
• Promote a positive culture that values dignity, respect, and independence

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Care Home Manager or in a similar leadership role
• Relevant qualifications in health and social care management (e.g., Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care)
• Strong understanding of CQC regulations and care standards
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively
• Compassionate approach with a genuine commitment to person-cantered care
• Resilience and ability to work under pressure
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Nursing qualification (RGN, RMN, or RNLD)
• Experience in dementia care or other specialized areas
• Knowledge of current trends and best practices in elderly care
