Care Home Manager
As Care Home Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind creating a warm, supportive environment for residents and staff alike. You’ll lead by example, inspiring your team to deliver person-cantered care that enhances the quality of life for each resident.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the care home, ensuring high standards of care and service
- Manage and develop staff, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations
- Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and other relevant standards
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual residents’ needs
- Manage budgets and financial resources effectively
- Maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
- Lead quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
- Handle complaints and concerns promptly and professionally
- Promote a positive culture that values dignity, respect, and independence
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Care Home Manager or in a similar leadership role
- Relevant qualifications in health and social care management (e.g., Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care)
- Strong understanding of CQC regulations and care standards
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively
- Compassionate approach with a genuine commitment to person-cantered care
- Resilience and ability to work under pressure
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Nursing qualification (RGN, RMN, or RNLD)
- Experience in dementia care or other specialized areas
- Knowledge of current trends and best practices in elderly care
